Bastich returns! (This was a few months after the last official Bastich strip was posted).

Singled Out was a dating game show on MTV, hosted for a few seasons by Jenny McCarthy. I remember the show being rather trashy, which was par for the course for MTV as it moved further away from music and leaned more into reality TV. The show was indeed cancelled in 1998, to Bastich's dismay, but 20 years later it was revived for a few more seasons. Did Bastich dust off his plan?

PANEL 1 (BASTICH walks up to MTN. DEWD and BAPPER.) BASTICH: Hey Mtn. Dewd! Hey Bapper! What's up? MTN. DEWD: Bastich! Long time no see. What's been keeping you in hiding for so long?

PANEL 2 (BASTICH pulls up a board.) BASTICH: I'm glad you asked, M.D... For months now, I have viewed and reviewed my tape archives, and I have finally made the ground-breaking discovery I was searching for...

PANEL 3 (BASTICH puts the board on an easel and holds a pointer up to it. The board shows a graph with seemingly random curves and math equations.) BASTICH: Behold, my friends, the ultimate formula for guaranteed success in "MTV's Singled Out"..! With the help of this chart, even a hopeless geek like myself can get an all-expense-paid date courtesy of Viacom..!

PANEL 4 (Close up to the pointer touching a graph of a curve on the chart.) BASTICH: It's really quite simple. This curve represents your chances based on your salary, IQ, height, etc, while this line represents the illustrious Jenny McCarthy. The closer your stats are to that line, the better your chances of bringing home the babe! Am I a genius or what?

PANEL 5 (MTN. DEWD holds out his hands and speaks to BASTICH.) MTN. DEWD: Uh, I don't know how to break this to you, man, but "Singled Out" went off the air like over a year ago. BASTICH: You're kidding!

PANEL 6 (BASTICH puts his head in his hands as BAPPER consoles him.) BASTICH: Argh... all these months of planning wasted! BAPPER: Hey, look on the bright side, 'Stich. Maybe you can still get on a rerun!
